With its ECO flanged system for impregnated dressing discs, DR. KAISER Diamantwerkzeuge GmbH & Co. KG offers a solution for modern grinding technology that combines current demands for cost efficiency and sustainability with maximum precision. The modular design allows easy replacement of dressing diamond segment rings while reusing the carrier body multiple times. The system thus marks the transition from classic disposable tools to a sustainable circular economy in the management of dressing tools.

Precision through technical separation
The technological core of the ECO system lies in the separation of the durable carrier body and the actual functional layer, the diamond segment ring. While conventional methods often require the entire tool to be replaced, the modular design of the ECO system allows for the targeted replacement of worn diamond segment rings. However, this separation has no effect on accuracy: DR. KAISER ensures that each reconditioning has the same tolerance and running accuracy as the initial delivery. This means that process stability is fully maintained, especially when dressing CBN and diamond superabrasives.
Efficiency in the process
The system proves particularly effective in combination with impregnated dressing discs. These are specially designed for conditioning vitrified-bonded CBN and diamond grinding wheels and are characterized by a self-sharpening effect. In practice, this results in consistently high cutting performance of the grinding wheel over its entire service life. The ECO flanged system speeds up logistics processes: stocking standardized diamond segment rings significantly reduces delivery times. Users also have the choice of having the replacement carried out as a complete service at the factory in Celle or performing the replacement themselves on site in their own production facility using the ECO tool set.
Sustainability as an economic advantage
The benefits for the user are measurable in both ecological and economic terms. The multiple use of the precise carrier bodies saves up to 80 percent of the material compared to a new purchase. This reduced use of resources is reflected in lower tool costs from the very first re-coating. The ECO system thus provides a response to rising cost pressures while also supporting the carbon footprint of modern industrial companies through reduced logistics routes and minimized raw material consumption.
LIVE at GrindingHub 2026
At GrindingHub from May 5-8, 2026, in Stuttgart, visitors to the DR. KAISER booth 7A75 can experience the ECO flanged system live and try it out for themselves in a time challenge to see how quick and easy it is to replace dressing diamond segment rings.
